From the beautiful mountains and pristine waters of Canada's west coast, Maki has been quietly crafting beats that fall somewhere between the lines of indie hip hop and progressive rock. With a disdain for stage names, his soundscapes have graced some of the most unique and distinctive records in the Canadian indie-rap scene. Often a critical favourite, his varied discography sees his name printed on CD and vinyl alongside indie artists from such varied locales as Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, Japan, Europe and Canada. With an affinity for dusty guitars, hard drums and API EQ's, Maki continues to carve out a spot for himself as one of Canada's most slept-on producers. He is currently working on a solo-produced record and occasionally straying from that path whenever interesting distractions come his way.
